Review: JAGAT (2015)

Set in the early 1990's, JAGAT revolves around a 12-year-old Indian boy named Appoy (Harvind Raj) living in a small village town. His father, Maniam (Kuhan Mahadevan) is a hardworking and strict patriarch, who wants his son to excel in school because he doesn't want to see him end up as losers like his two brothers, Bala (Senthil Kumaran Muniandy) and Mexico (Jibrail Rajhula).

Thanks to distributor Lotus Five Star, the highly-anticipated third (and reportedly final) instalment of the IP MAN franchise is scheduled to arrive in Malaysian cinemas next Thursday beginning on 24 December 2015. I have seen it in the press screening, and all I can say I was impressed that director Wilson Yip (IP MAN, IP MAN 2) and martial-art superstar Donnie Yen has done it again! (Full review coming soon!)

And to coincide with the upcoming release of IP MAN 3, producer Raymond Wong, Donnie Yen and his co-star, Lynn Xiong made guest appearances at JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur to talk about their experiences working on the set of IP MAN 3.

Review: STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS (2015)

The first live-action STAR WARS movie in ten years is a sigh of relief: a massively entertaining, if heavily-flawed epic space opera filled with plenty of memorable characters, spectacular action and riveting storyline.

Review: POINT BREAK (2015)

This POINT BREAK remake has its fair share of jaw-dropping stunts, but suffers from an overly-pretentious plot and bland acting.
