Review: THE LEGEND OF TARZAN (2016)

THE LEGEND OF TARZAN centres on John Clayton III (Alexander Skarsgard), a man formerly known as Tarzan who has left his past behind and now living a noble life with his beloved wife, Jane (Margot Robbie). When he is invited by Belgium's King Leopold to return to Congo as a trade emissary of Parliament, little does he know that he soon entangled in a plot where Jane ends up being captured by a corrupted envoy, Leon Rom (Christoph Waltz).

Review: INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE (2016)

Set twenty years after winning the war against the invading aliens in INDEPENDENCE DAY (1996), the human race is more united than ever. Making full use of the alien technology to reconstruct their cities and even developing alien weapons, the world has prepared everything they can in case the extraterrestrial beings return. When the alien mothership starting to invade Earth again, it is up to former US President Whitmore (Bill Pullman) and cable technician-turned-director of the Earth Space Defense (ESD) program David Levinson (Jeff Goldblum), as well as a group of new characters including hotshot pilots Jake (Liam Hemsworth) and Dylan (Jessie Usher), the stepson of the late Captain Steven Hiller (Will Smith, who declined to return and only appears in photos) to save the world from total annihilation.

Review: FINDING DORY (2016)


Set one year after the events of FINDING NEMO (2003), the forgetful blue tang fish Dory (voiced by Ellen DeGeneres) is now living happily with widowed clownfish Marlin (Albert Brooks) and his son Nemo (Hayden Rolence, replacing Alexander Gould from the 2003 original). When Dory suddenly recalls her childhood past being separated from her parents (Eugene Levy and Diane Keaton) a long time ago, she sets out on a journey to Morro Bay, California to find her mum and dad. She eventually ends up at the Marine Life Institute, where she meets a disgruntled octopus Hank (Ed O'Neill). Both of them soon strikes a deal to help each other out, a result that leads them to a series of misadventures.

Review: WARCRAFT: THE BEGINNING (2016)

When orc shaman Gul'dan (voiced by Daniel Wu) opens a portal from his dying planet, he mobilises his clan to invade the peaceful world of Azeroth. In order to stop more orcs from crossing through the portal, King Llane (Dominic Cooper) enlists his trusted army commander Anduin Lothar (Travis Fimmel, of TV's Vikings) to summon the reclusive wizard Medivh a.k.a. The Guardian (Ben Foster) with the help of a young mage, Khadgar (Ben Schnetzer).

In this sequel to 2013's surprise hit of THE CONJURING, paranormal investigators Lorraine Warren (Vera Farmiga) and Ed Warren (Patrick Wilson) are summoned to the Enfield borough in North London, where single mum Peggy Hodgson (Frances O'Connor) and her four children (Madison Wolfe, Lauren Esposito, Benjamin Haigh and Patrick McAuley) frequently find themselves being terrorised by a series of supernatural phenomena in their home.

Review: TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: OUT OF THE SHADOWS (2016)


In this sequel, the Turtles (voiced by Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, Pete Ploszek and Jeremy Howard) must once again stop their nemesis Shredder (Brian Tee), who has escaped police custody with the help of mad scientist Baxter Stockman (Tyler Perry). Apart from Shredder, the Turtles are also facing new threats in the form of two animalistic mutants Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams) and Rocksteady (Stephen "Sheamus" Farrelly) as well as the otherworldly creature Krang (voiced by Brad Garrett).
