Ulasan: DOCTOR STRANGE (2016)

Berikutan kemalangan kereta yang dahsyat yang melumpuhkan kedua-dua tangannya, kerjaya pakar bedah otak yang Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) hancur dan segala wangnya habis kerana mencuba setiap perubatan eksperimen untuk menyembuh tangannya. Apabila semua perubatan Barat gagal, dia pergi mencari lokasi Kamar-Taj di Kathmandu, Nepal yang pernah memulihkan seorang mangsa lumpuh (Benjamin Bratt). Dia bertemu Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) dan gurunya Ancient One (Tilda Swinton), yang mengajar Strange seni sihir dan mistik. Kemunculan penjahat Kaecilius (Mads Mikkelsen) membawa ancaman terhadap Kamar-Taj dan juga keselamatan bumi.

Review: DOCTOR STRANGE (2016)

Following a terrible car accident that crippled both of his hands, Stephen Strange's (Benedict Cumberbatch) career as a neurosurgeon is all over. But he refuses to give up and spends his fortune trying every experimental medical procedure to heal his hands. When none of them works, he ends up taking advice from a former paraplegic (Benjamin Bratt) to travel all the way to a mysterious place called Kamar-Taj in Kathmandu, Nepal. From there, he meets Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) and his wise guru known simply as the Ancient One (Tilda Swinton), who later teaches him the art of magic and mysticism. As Strange gradually mastering the mystical arts, he also learns about the Ancient One's major threat: a former disciple named Kaecilius (Mads Mikkelsen) who has gone to the dark side.

Following an ill-fated pursuit that leads to the death of a notorious assassin known only as The General (Gao Weiguang), dedicated cop John Ma (Nicholas Tse) ends up getting shot in the heart. But Ma is lucky enough to be alive after receiving a successful heart transplant. After a year and a half, Ma is assigned to investigate a like-minded case similar to the deceased General's sinister plan. This time, he is paired with a criminal psychologist named Calvin Che (Lau Ching-Wan), who happens to receive an organ transplant from the same deceased General as well.

Wolff also happens to be an ace marksman and a martial arts expert. When he finds himself caught in a web of deception working freelance for the CEO of Living Robotics corporation (John Lithgow), he made use of his skill to save the company's CPA analyst Dana Cummings (Anna Kendrick) from a team of professional hitmen led by Brax (Jon Bernthal). Elsewhere, Treasury Department director Ray King (J.K. Simmons) enlists his new assistant Marybeth Medina (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) to uncover Christian's shady reputation for managing the finances of many wanted criminals around the world.

Review: WEEDS ON FIRE 點五步 (2016)

Based on the true story of the Hong Kong's first Chinese youth baseball team known as the Shatin Martins, WEEDS ON FIRE revolves mainly around two best friends and public housing neighbours Tse Chi-Lung (Lam Yiu-Sing) and Fan Chun-Wai (Tony Wu Tsz-Tung). They are also part of the Shatin Martins team alongside the rest of the underachievers assembled by their principal cum coach Lo Kwong-Fai (Liu Kai-Chi). At the beginning, the Shatin Martins are treated like a laughing stock after being humiliated by a junior team during their first game. However, Lo constantly reminds them about the value of teamwork and discipline being the key of keeping them together and make them stronger at each participating game.

Soon, Langdon joins forces with a resourceful young doctor Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones) in a race-against-the-time piecing the puzzles together left by Zobrist to locate the virus.

Review: OPERATION MEKONG 湄公河行动 (2016)

Based on true events surrounding the Mekong River massacre on October 5, 2011, that resulted in the death of 13 Chinese sailors, an elite team of Chinese narcotics officers led by Captain Gao Gang (Zhang Hanyu) is assembled to hunt down the man responsible for the murders. The team is also joined by Fang Xinwu (Eddie Peng), an undercover intelligence officer based in the Golden Triangle. After they discovered 900,000 methamphetamine pills on the ships, their investigation led to the notorious drug lord named Naw Khar (Pawarith Monkolpisit), who happens to monopolise the drug trade in the Golden Triangle.
